Baker Street B-)

It has been long and indeed very long since my last post! No I do not blame anyone but my sheer laziness for it! Any who...a lot has changed since I last wrote....New places and new cups of coffee. I recently visited this new coffee place at Phoenix in Viman Nagar. What basically drew me to this place was the name Baker Street. It's done in coffee colours and orange and is like any other coffee place but tries to give you a feel of a bistro in a mall!

Expecting a lot from this place, I was thoroughly disappointed with the limited variety they served especially in the hot beverage section. Sticking to the basics and not taking any risks, I ordered a cappuccino with a hazel nut add on. Now, Baker street has this special offer which is every Sunday after 7 pm, 25 per cent off on their eatables. Hell, since I have a sweet tooth, I ordered for a Choco chip Muffin. They have a lot when it comes to their confectionery, Almond Muffin,Raisin muffin, Blueberry muffin, Banana Muffin, Lemon Tart, Chocolate pastries.  Besides that they also have a range of cookies.

The service was swift and the coffee, I must say was amazing...It was rich, smooth, creamy and hot! So the coffee did earn browny points. As for the muffin, it was worth every penny. Disclaimer: For only those who love chocolate unconditionally,it is a tad bit on the higher side of chocolate. It was fresh and soft and complemented the coffee perfectly.

Baker street is a good option for all those wanting to grab a quick cuppa of coffee besides that personally I did not find anything different and can be Just Another Coffee Place around the corner. However, my time there was enjoyable cos its even the company that matters! See you with a new post soon:)

Ovenart

Oven art.
Location: Dhole Patil Road,Opp Axis bank,Near Wadia College.

Over art is a typical office going/college hangout. In terms of ambience it doesn't have much to offer,it looks a like shop/bakery where in there is this well placed granite table with plastic stools overlooking the on going traffic. It's extremely hygienic wherein the customers can see the kitchen through a glass window.
The first thing that clicks about Oven art  is its pricing, it's extremely affordable in its true sense. The eatables are priced from 10 bucks and the maximum may go up to 100 bucks. The egg puff priced at 10 rupees is simply delicious and so is the chocolate walnut brownie charged the same amount, where in the world can one get delicious food priced so low. There are variety of sandwiches available like The Chicken Tikka Sandwich(35 bucks),The Chicken Cheese Sandwich, The Chicken Mayo Sandwich. There is a huge variety in the vegetarian department too with Paneer Tikka Sandwich, Corn Palak Sandwich and so on...
There even burgers, rolls available but the Paneer Roll is a must try for only 30 Rs.
Since Over art is also bakery they have a variety of cakes, pastries, muffins, breads and biscuits. They even take order for cakes.
One definitely has to try the Chocolate Walnut brownie, the Chicken Tikka Sandwich.
